A new rent report highlights significant disparities in rental costs across Metro Vancouver. It reveals that Vancouver hosts four of the five priciest cities in Canada, with Downtown Vancouver being the most expensive neighborhood at $2,782/month, while Sunset-Victoria Fraserview is the cheapest at $1,976. The average rent for an unfurnished one-bedroom has decreased slightly to $2,293. Surrey neighborhoods, particularly Newton, offer the lowest rents, averaging $1,850 for a one-bedroom. Apartments make up the majority of active listings on liv.rent.
